Nicole Roberts Jones talks about new book, her faith-based program, and the plight of young black women.
Define Your Own Way: Empowering Young African American Women offers ways to effectively transition and traverse the new, cultural landscape that has had diminishing effects on young women and girls, and reclaim it for themselves. Based on Nicole Roberts Jones successful and widely popular programs for women and youth -- Imani Life Transformations (women) and Imani Phi Christ (youth) -- this book is for those young women looking for steps to chart their own course and stand up for their belief in community empowerment, faith, and most importantly, themselves.
